Jakarta, 12 December 2023 — Metasmesta successfully showcased its technology products at a prestigious international event in Jakarta. The event was part of a bilateral dialogue between Indonesia and Germany regarding the development and regulation of artificial intelligence (AI).
The event took place on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 in a hybrid format at Future City Hub, Jakarta, as well as online. Participants included representatives from ministries and relevant institutions from Indonesia and Germany, the German Embassy in Indonesia, industry players, academics, and civil society organizations from both countries. The forum served as a strategic platform to exchange perspectives on AI governance, ethical implementation, and cross-border technological collaboration.
The German-Indonesian AI Dialogue 2023 was organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) of Germany. The German Embassy in Indonesia also participated as an organizing partner. The dialogue highlighted the importance of international cooperation in shaping responsible AI ecosystems that support innovation while safeguarding public interest.
During the demo session, Metasmesta introduced various latest capabilities of Digital Twin, Virtual Reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in building immersive experiences in the Metaverse. The demonstration illustrated how these technologies can simulate real-world environments, enhance decision-making processes, and enable interactive digital collaboration across sectors such as urban planning, education, and industry.

I had many discussions and exchanged ideas with several event participants, both from Indonesia and Germany. They showed great interest in the potential development and implementation of AI in Indonesia. They also expressed hopes for future collaboration, particularly in research, regulatory frameworks, and practical deployment of AI-driven solutions.
